Emerging Kerala 2012 has been scheduled to take place in Kochi from September 12 to 14, 2012.
The venue of the event will be the Le Meridien International Convention Centre.

Kochi is Kerala's commercial capital and historically an entry point for traders and travelers visiting Kerala. This bustling city is noted for its historic landmarks and settlements of Jewish community and also those from other parts of India like the Konkanis and the Gujaratis.

The International Container Transshipment Terminal – country's first; LNG Terminal & Gas Pipeline network; Refinery & Petrochemical complex; the country's first Marina are few of them. Kochi is already one of the major IT hubs in the country, where the Smart City project is coming up. It is the only spot in India where both submarine cables SEA-ME-WE3 and SAFE land. Kochi has a full-fledged seaport and an international airport, which is the first of its kind in the history of civil aviation in India to be realized through public-private partnership.
